Man sentenced for 2022 Albuquerque murder

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Nicholas Dee, who took a plea deal for the murder of a homeless man in 2022, was sentenced to ten years behind bars Thursday.

Officials say surveillance video shows Dee approaching three men on a curb outside near the Flying J Truck Stop in Albuquerque. After talking to men, one of them punched Dee and started to run away. They say Dee pulled out a gun and shot the man, killing him.

Judge Stan Whitaker sentenced Dee to ten years behind bars for second degree murder.
