Sentencing for woman who pleaded guilty to 34 burglary charges

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Kellie Shugart, the woman who pleaded guilty to 34 burglary charges, was sentenced to ten-and-a-half years behind bars Tuesday.

Shugart was facing charges for a string of burglaries during the summer of 2022. Police say Shugart would remove window panels from businesses to gain access. Judge Britt Baca-Miller sentenced Shugart to ten-and-a-half years behind bars, followed by five years of supervised probation.
