Albuquerque man charged with having gun, drugs in open space area

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – The Albuquerque Police Department says officers with the Open Space Unit arrested an armed man in southeast Albuquerque. According to APD, officers were meeting with someone at the Singing Arrow Community Center last Friday when they noticed a man hunched over in the nearby open space. When they tried to approach him, the man took off.

Sentencing for woman who pleaded guilty to 34 burglary charges

Officers were able to find the man identifying him as Steven Montoya. APD says they found a gun and drugs in the area where Montoya was originally seen. Montoya has since been released and put on pretrial services.
