ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Robert Goldberg Jr., who pleaded no contest to a string of robberies in 2021 , was sentenced to time served and nearly a year in the community custody program.

Charges show Goldberg Jr. committed a week-long spree that includes holding a mother and son at gunpoint to hitting a number of shops throughout Albuquerque’s northeast heights. He was finally caught after crashing a vehicle while police attempted to pull him over. While being treated at a hospital, he was accused of attacking an officer and unsuccessfully trying to take her gun.
Goldberg Jr. has been in custody for more than 540 days on those charges. Judge Courtney Weeks sentenced him to time served and nearly a year on CCP, followed by five years of supervised probation.
