ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – The Albuquerque Police Department has charged Nathan Henson with the 2020 murder of Nehemiah Lovato outside an apartment. Officers responded to a ShotSpotter call in October 2020 to an apartment complex in southeast Albuquerque where they found Lovato.
Man will spend 29 years behind bars for 2022 Albuquerque murder
According to detectives, Henson was seen on surveillance video pointing a gun at Lovato’s face while another man grabbed Lovato’s backpack. A struggle ensued and Henson is accused of shooting Lovato. The two men then left the area with Lovato’s backpack.
The state has asked to keep Henson behind bars citing the seriousness of the crime and his previous criminal history.
