UNMH provides update on critical care tower construction

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – The Univesity of New Mexico Hospital says it is making more progress on its long-anticipated critical tower. Crews finished installing the elevators for the adult emergency department late last year and the concrete, walls, and ceiling for the ambulance bay and patient drop-off area are finished as well.

Construction on the tower is expected to wrap in spring 2025. When it is done, the emergency department will have more than twice the square footage and will house 68 exam rooms.
