Bernalillo County Animal Care Services will kick off 2024 with an adoption event at The Craftroom on February 10. The Craftroom, in Albuquerque, will host the event from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., offering a variety of dogs for adoption. Adoptions are donation-based, and each adopted pet is vaccinated, microchipped, spayed or neutered, and given a one-year pet license.
Donations from the event will go to the Bernalillo County’s Quality of Life Community Fund. This fund supports the many homeless animals they care for. Donations are used for emergency surgeries, spay and neuter clinics, vaccine and microchipping clinics, and pet supplies.
The adoption event is part of the department’s outreach efforts. These programs aim to care for homeless animals and promote responsible pet ownership. The event allows potential pet owners to meet the animals and learn about the adoption process and pet ownership responsibilities.
In conclusion, the adoption event at The Craftroom is the start of Bernalillo County Animal Care Services’ 2024 activities. The event helps homeless animals find homes and raises funds for the Quality of Life Community Fund, supporting the welfare of the animals they care for.
