Snow falls over Albuquerque Metro, prompting cancellations and closures

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Snow has come to Albuquerque’s Metropolitan Area. With it, the City (CABQ) has sent some reminders and notices.

Metro Area Notices

CABQ said they are servicing roads and offering beds to anyone in need. Shelter from the weather can be found at the Gateway Center or Westside Emergency Housing Center.

The three CABQ Solid Waste Centers are closed. Transportation routes may be delayed or canceled , and ART Service has been suspended temporarily.

The following facilities are closed on Saturday:

  • Alamosa Community Center
  • Barelas Community Center
  • Holiday Park Community Center
  • Westgate Community Center
  • BioPark
  • Jerry Cline & Sierra Vista Tennis Facilities
  • All City golf courses
  • All City pools
  • Open Space Visitor Center will be closing early at 3 p.m.

Bernalillo County also canceled its adoption event that was being held at the Craftroom. It will be rescheduled.
