Habtom Samuel beat his own program record by nearly five seconds en route to an event win in the most competitive 3,000m field in the country to highlight the second day of split-squad competition for New Mexico Track & Field at the David Hemery Valentine Invitational in Boston and the Don Kirby Invitational in Albuquerque on Saturday, with the Lobos picking up four new PR’s and three new record book updates between the two meets.
