Video: BCSO deputy arrested and charged with DWI, domestic violence

RIO RANCHO, N.M. (KRQE) – An early morning call to a Rio Ranch home led to a chase, and a man suspected of driving drunk pulled from the driver’s seat. That driver was identified as a Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office deputy.

It was just just after six a.m., the morning after Super Bowl Sunday. Rio Rancho Police Department officers caught up with a pickup that was weaving along Westisde toward 528 at speeds up to 75 miles per hour. They pulled a man from the driver’s seat and started asking questions. It turned out, that man was BCSO Deputy Daniel Vasquez-Moreno who was surely familiar with what came next.

Officer: “Okay, Daniel, I’m going to read you something important, okay? You have the right to remain silent, anything you say can and will be used against you in a court of law.”
