The 30-day comment period for the 2024 Draft Action Plan has begun. This plan is the COA’s grant application to the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). It details activities to be carried out with funds from various sources. These activities aim to advance the Consolidated Plan strategies for Program Year 2024, from July 1, 2024, to June 30, 2025.

The funding from HUD is estimated to include significant amounts from several sources. These include the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), HOME Investment Partnerships (HOME), and Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG) funds. The Action Plan will also include General Funds (GF) and Workforce Housing Trust Funds (WHTF).

The Draft 2024 Action Plan proposes funding for a variety of projects. These include administrative costs for the COA’s 2024 Action Plan and operating costs for Greater Albuquerque Housing Partnerships. It also includes services for homeless populations, such as street outreach, emergency shelter services, and rapid rehousing opportunities.
