Charles Kauffman, 55, of Albuquerque, who was arrested for the murder of Elizabeth Barela last month, was indicted Feb. 15 by a grand jury in the 13th Judicial District Court. The jury found probable cause, if Kauffman is convicted in a trial, to have the charge reflect murder in the second degree.
