A bill on the governors desk could keep repeat offenders off the streets

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – Senate Bill 271 has made its way to Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham’s desk. The bill focuses on pre-trial detention. The bill states if someone is out on conditions for an active felony case and they commit another crime, the judge will be allowed to hold that person without bond.
