1 injured after shooting at the Albuquerque Convention Center

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – The Albuquerque Police Department says one person was injured after an incident at the Albuquerque Convention Center. APD said they responded to a shooting around 5 p.m.

There was a graduation happening at the time and APD says an adult female was shot and taken to the hospital. APD Spokesperson Gilbert Gallegos said her injuries did not appear to be life-threatening and that she was talking to officers. He also said they have a suspect in custody, a male, but did not have an age for him.

Police are asking for anyone who took photos or videos of the incident, or has information on what happened, to contact police at 505-242-COPS.
