ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Albuquerque woman Mackenzie Sydow is the newly crowned Miss New Mexico.

In 2019 Sydow became the full time caregiver of her brother Michael, who has autism, after both of their parents passed away unexpectedly. Monday, Sydow was crowned as Miss new Mexico and will go on to represent the state in the Miss U.S.A. pageant.
