A Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office deputy vehicle was stopped at Juan Tabo and Copper when an SUV came speeding down the left turn lane hitting vehicles. The deputy quickly got out and went looking for the people in the SUV but they took off on foot.

The deputy found them in a parking lot nearby and the suspects gave up. They were identified as 20-year-old males Elias Sandoval and Caleb Estrada. Deputies said they hit five vehicles before hitting the BCSO cruiser.
