The Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office arrested two brothers after a man was found dead in the mesa

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – The Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office arrested two brothers after taking over an investigation initiated by Albuquerque police.

Police arrest man accused of breaking into UNM building and stealing electronic devices

Police responded to the Flying J truck stop near I-40 and 98th on August 11, around 8 a.m. A woman told police she was assaulted and another person had been shot. The woman guided policed to a location in the mesa and the investigation was transferred to BCSO after it was determined the location fell in their jurisdiction. In the mesa the body of 25-yeaer-old Maikel Antonio Torrealba Romero was found with at least one gunshot would.

Witnesses told investigators that two brothers, Adan Munoz and Andi Parra had attacked some of the attendees at a party when a gun went off, killing Romero. The two brothers were arrested later that night. Both brothers are facing charges, Munoz has been charged with an open count of murder.
