Nine Mile Picnic Grounds near Sandia Crest reopening September 6

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – The Nine Mile Picnic Grounds in the Cibola National Forest is reopening with a new look. The popular picnic area has been closed since 2017 when renovations began.

City council approves lease agreement for New Mexico School for the Blind expansion

Visitors can visit the site on September 6. The funds to redesign the area came from the Great American Outdoors Act.
