In October 2021, officers found him passed out in a car at the intersection of San Pedro and Southern. 11 days later, he crashed into a fence near Gibson and Broadway where police again found him passed out. In both cases, Candelaria ran from police.

He’s already serving a three-year sentence in Texas for federal convictions on firearm and drug possession charges. As part of his plea deal, he was sentenced to three years in prison which ran concurrent with his federal sentence. With time served, he’ll be released on October 28.
