APD investigating two fatal pedestrian crashes

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – The Albuquerque Police Department is investigating two fatal crashes involving pedestrians Friday morning.

New Mexico Department of Justice sues landowners over blocked waterways

Around 6:15 a.m. police responded to a crash involving a city solid waste vehicle and a pedestrian near Central and 1st. APD says the pedestrian was declared dead at the scene. Drivers are asked to avoid the area while police investigate the incident.

Around 5 a.m. police responded to a crash involving a pedestrian on Coors near Gonzales. APD says a Toyota Camry was driving north on Coors and struck a pedestrian who was attempting to cross Coors near Gonzales. The pedestrian was declared dead on scene. APD says the driver stayed on scene. APD’s fatal crash team is investigating both crashes.
