Police find 4 dead in NW Albuquerque

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – The Albuquerque Police Department (APD) is investigating multiple deaths.

Around 11:50 p.m. on Saturday, APD and Albuquerque Fire Rescue were called to an apartment in the 1800 block of Indian School Road NW about a shooting. Four people were found and determined to be deceased; they had gunshot wounds.

APD said the deaths might be a triple-murder followed by the suicide of the offender as witnesses told officials the deceased knew each other.

Law enforcement personnel think some of those involved were drinking throughout the day, and a confrontation took place later that night. They said it was probable that the suspect, who was a young man, shot the three others. Those victims were listed as a man and woman in their 20s and a man in his 50s.

Originally, a person was detained, but officers determined they weren’t involved in the shooting. Homicide detectives are working on the case.
