ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – As work continues on I-25 through Albuquerque, crews are getting ready to close a major on-ramp later this week.
The New Mexico Department of Transportation will be permanently closing the loop ramp that connects westbound Montgomery to southbound I-25.

Officials said drivers will need to turn left onto the frontage road to access the southbound lanes from now on.
To help accommodate the expected increase in traffic, crews will be adding another left turn lane. Work on the ramp and turn lane will start Tuesday, September 3, at night.
