What is open and closed in New Mexico for Labor Day 2024?

NEW MEXICO (KRQE/NEXSTAR) – Labor Day, the unofficial end of summer is, unfortunately, here. If you’re on the road or missing a cookout ingredient as you celebrate Labor Day, here’s what will and won’t be open on September 2.

Right out of the gate, we can say that you won’t be getting any mail on Monday. The U.S. Postal Service observes Labor Day, taking the day off. Most services offered by UPS , FedEx , and Amazon are also unavailable. Banks will close for Labor Day too, but ATMs will, in most cases, still be accessible.

Though you likely won’t be receiving any packages and can’t stop into a bank, many retailers will be open for Labor Day. Hours may vary by location, so it’s best to call ahead or check your store’s hours online before heading out. Pharmacy services in each store may be unavailable on Labor Day.
