ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – A loaded gun was taken from a student at Valley High School on Thursday, according to Albuquerque Public Schools. In a letter to parents, the principal said the firearm was found in a student’s backpack when it was being searched for an unrelated reason. The letter explains that the student did not share any plans to harm himself or others.
