2 hospitalized after crash on westbound I-40

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – On Saturday morning, the New Mexico Department of Transportation reported lane closures due to a crash in Albuquerque.

Around 9 a.m., westbound I-40 near mile marker 156 was impacted by a crash that left four left lanes and the shoulder closed.

Albuquerque Fire Rescue said a travel trailer rolled over, and two people were stuck in a van. The driver was stuck for 30 minutes, but both victims were eventually taken to the hospital with significant injuries.

The lanes were cleared for traffic later in the day.
