ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – Near Kirtland Air Force Base, at the base of the Sandias Mountains, a United States Geological Survey lab monitors the world for seismic activity. In September 2023, their array of seismometers was one of many around the world picking up a low-level vibration that lasted nine days.
