Bernalillo County deputy remembered through one of his passions

BERNALILLO COUNTY, N.M. (KRQE) — One of the first responders in the BCSO helicopter crash two years ago that claimed four lives was honored with one of his favorite things: cars.

Deputy Michael Levison was helping fight wildfires in July of 2022 when the Metro 2 helicopter crashed outside of Las Vegas, New Mexico.

On Sunday, the community came together for a car show, showing off what his loved ones called his “garage beauties.” They said the event was a great way to get support from those who also knew Levison and wanted to share in his love for cool cars.
