ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – The Lapis Room Art Center is holding a special shapes art show featuring works by Bryce Nañez that highlight the colors and designs of Balloon Fiesta’s special shape balloons.

Each painting captures the colors and compositions of the balloons that fill the sky during the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta. Some of the pieces featured in the collection include the flying pig balloon, the chile ristra balloon, the bumble bee balloon and more.
Bryce Nañez is an Albuquerque-based pop realism painter from Las Cruces, New Mexico. The Lapis Room will be hosting an opening reception for the art exhibition on Thursday, October 3, from 5 – 8 p.m. and a closing celebration on Tuesday, October 15, from 5 – 8 p.m.
