ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. Police are now investigating a suspicious death at the property near Central and Atrisco.

Around 11 a.m. Thursday APD responded to the residence and located a deceased individual and is investigating the incident as a suspicious death. The City of Albuquerque’s Animal Welfare Department removed 19 dogs on Thursday. They said those dogs will be quarantined from other animals and will be under their care through the investigation.

KRQE News 13 reported that those dogs maimed a woman who crossed through that yard in August. She was left fighting for her life in the ICU. The incident terrified neighbors and the victim’s mother. “She has bites everywhere. There’s not a place that she’s not bitten. She’s just bitten up everywhere,” said the mom in September.
