ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – A thrilling production showcasing flamenco is coming to the National Hispanic Cultural Center. The National Institute of Flamenco is celebrating 25 of Yjastros which is a dance company founded in Albuquerque.

The company’s goal is to blend the traditional style with contemporary influences. They said it’s a performance you don’t want to miss. “Flamenco as an artform is very powerful and us as a company are very incredible. We’re an awesome dance company that’s been working together for many, many years. We work so, so hard and this show will speak to you, it will move you. It will impress you. It will stimulate you. Please come and support this gem of a project and dance company that so special,” said flamenco dancer Christopher Menchaca.
The shows will be next Friday at 8 p.m. and next Saturday at 4 p.m. Tickets are available online at the National Hispanic Cultural Center’s website.
