ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Spending the holidays in the hospital is tough, especially if you’re a kid. Holiday rituals are meaningful and help mark special moments and the University of New Mexico Hospital is making sure, no one misses out. UNMH called on two special holiday figures to pay a visit to each and every child.

Jolly Old Saint Nick, the Grinch, and their entourage of elves arrived in style all the way from the North Pole on Thursday, to pay a special visit to dozens of children who will not get to spend Christmas at home this year.
“Every year we have to get pretty creative and we just have to make sure that our kids aren’t forgotten and our parents understand that Santa is still thinking about them,” said Ana Bacon, Director of Child Life at UNM Children’s Hospital.
