Bernalillo County Animal Care entering 2025 on a high note

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Over the weekend, Bernalillo County Animal Care saw over 30 strays enter their shelter. While that number may seem high, the shelter says that number is actually lower than their daily average. So, how are they making that happen?

“A lot of outreach, we have a lot of animals in foster care. We asked the community for help and they stepped up and helped us,” said Engagement and Outreach Manager Tiffany Chamblee.

Bernalillo County Animal Care is heading into the New Year on a high note. “Right now, I think we are doing pretty well. We did have the loss of thirty kennels to some mold and remediation but I think we are still doing pretty well,” said Chamblee.
