According to a spokesperson for the organization, starting Jan. 1, Goodwill stores discontinued tag sales, senior discounts, military discount days and customer appreciation days.
Promotions for seniors and military members offered discounts up to 20% and sometimes 30% while the tag sales offered promotional pricing on items with a certain tag color.
It is unclear why Goodwill discontinued the promotions, but a spokesperson said there will still be some “members-only” promotions offered throughout the year for members of Goodwill’s Perks Plus loyalty program which also offers shoppers the chance to collect and redeem points and coupons.
