ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – The Albuquerque – Bernalillo County Air Quality Program issued a health alert Tuesday due to blowing dust. The health alert is effective from Tuesday, January 7, at 10:45 a.m. through 12:00 a.m. midnight on January 8. Any residents of Albuquerque or Bernalillo County with respiratory conditions should limit outdoor activity.

The Air Quality Program has also issued an immediate shutdown notice for all contractors and business in Albuquerque or Bernalillo County that generate dust. The shutdown notice is effective from 10:30 a.m. on January 7, through 12:00 a.m. midnight on January 8.
