Albuquerque man sentenced for killing girlfriend during argument

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – An Albuquerque man was given a 15 year sentence Wednesday in court for the murder of his girlfriend in 2023.

According to a criminal complaint, Mykyle Lewis-Robinson pulled a gun on Talia Wills and killed her during an argument at their apartment near 12th and Griegos. Lewis-Robinson previously pleaded guilty to second degree murder for the incident. Shortly after that plea, a warrant was issued for Lewis-Robinson when he violated his court ordered curfew.

Lewis-Robinson faced up to ten years, according to his plea agreement. Judge Joseph Montano handed down a 15 year sentence, citing that violation as his reason for going above the time on the deal…
