PNM: Thousands of New Mexicans without power as strong wind storm moves across state

NEW MEXICO (KRQE) – PNM crews are responding to multiple weather-related outages in New Mexico Tuesday afternoon. An estimated 6,400 customers are without power, according to PNM’s outage map at 3:55 p.m.

PNM: Power shutoff possible in East Mountains due to high winds

A majority of the outages are in Albuquerque, the East Mountains, and in multiple communities south and north of Santa Fe.

Estimated PNM outages as of 3:15 p.m.:

  • East Mountains: 1,600
  • Albuquerque
    • North Valley: 1,500
    • Uptown 136
    • South Valley 260
  • Los Lunas: 106
  • Cochiti Pueblo: 645
  • Santo Domingo/Kewa Pueblo: 873
  • Encantado (north of Santa Fe): 677
  • Santa Fe (near South Capitol Rail Runner): 175
  • Near Santa Fe Airport and S anta Fe Wastewater Management building: 110
  • Pena Blanca: 330

Other smaller outages are being reported in Deming and Silver City. PNM restored power to 2,000 customers in Ruidoso.
