Albuquerque smoothie shop hosts event for World Down Syndrome Day

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – A local smoothie shop is raising awareness about down syndrome, by giving away proceeds from a special event they hosted today to charity.

“We made a special $3.21 bowl, we’re giving out special $3.21 socks, just really trying to hype of awareness about down syndrome,” said Kayla Scheer, co-owner of Rush Bowls, a smoothie shop in northeast Albuquerque.
