Urban Wildlife Fiesta celebrated at ABQ BioPark Zoo

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – The wildlife in Albuquerque was center stage for the ABQ BioPark’s Urban Wildlife Fiesta earlier on Saturday. The gathering celebrated the amazing wildlife we share a home with here in the Duke City.

ABQ BioPark aids conservation efforts for endangered freshwater species

“Today is a day just for Albuquerque animals and the community can come out and learn all about anything from the New Mexican grey wolves to some of the raptors, the big hawks and eagles that we have that live here in the BioPark. You can learn all about plants and pollinators and just really get a good understanding and celebration for our own backyard,” says assistant curator of birds and ambassador of animals with the ABQ BioPark Ash Bauer.

Discovery stations were also set up across the BioPark where guests could really dive into fun facts about all the animals that call Albuquerque home…
