NEW MEXICO (KRQE) – Clear skies, light winds, & dry-air conditions are allowing for a seasonably chilly start across the region. Weather is not as chilly as yesterday morning, with temperatures mostly near or below the freezing mark in the western mountains, Four Corners, and northern mountains, but elsewhere is mostly starting off in the 40s to the 50s with westerly winds still present out east. Those winds are descending down the Sangre de Cristo Mountains, providing a milder start compared to western neighbors.

Even warmer air is in store with mostly light winds this afternoon as temperatures will reach the 70s and 80s for most with high 50s to the 60s in the northern mountains. Temperatures will reach close to the low 90s in parts of southeast New Mexico. Mostly light winds with warm afternoons will remain through the later parts of next week.
