ACS celebrates 100,000 calls for service Saturday

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Albuquerque community safety marked a major milestone earlier Saturday. The department recently completed its 100,000th call for service.

The city says the call happened earlier this week, although details of that call have not been given. Many city officials spoke at the event, as well as someone who was helped by ACS, saying they were given the help they needed at that time.

Officials from Seattle, Washington, also joined in, saying they are trying to implement a similar ACS system in the area, with the mayor wanting a separate response for some 911 calls.
