Easter egg hunt takes Balloon Fiesta Park by storm

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Balloon Fiesta Park is better known for the hundreds of balloons that launch from its grassy field. On Sunday, however, the park transformed into an egg-hunting hotspot. The annual Spring Fling and Easter Things has become a tradition for locals around town as kids run around, gathering as many eggs as they can.

Over the years, more vendors have come together to provide the community a safe place for family fun. “I know not everyone can afford big family events, or some people can’t afford to put their kid on a jumper. Ever since I’ve owned the bakery, it’s always been a big thing for me to give back to the community,” says Amanda Jones, owner and event coordinator with A Heavenly Bakery.
