ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Duke City residents looking to find their “fur-ever” friend had their chance Sunday during Bernalillo County’s Animal Services Adoption event. It was hosted by PetSmart at the Winrock Town Center.
Officials say that with the large influx of animals currently in their care, they are looking for as much help as possible. They say adoption is not the only way to do that.

“We are always looking for foster people, people to help us take some home and get them out of the facility for a while. We’re always looking for volunteers, and we have great programs that go on all the time, and we’d love to have you come out and visit us,” says Misha Goodman, Bernalillo County Animal Care Services director.
