MESILLA, N.M. (KAMR/KCIT) — The New Mexico State Police released information regarding a wreck near Mesilla, New Mexico, that left one teenager from Portales dead on Sunday.
According to NMSP, officers responded to a single vehicle wreck on US 84 near milepost 24 at around 8:30 a.m. on Sunday. Officials stated that a 2008 Chrysler was traveling southbound on US 84 when, for an unknown reason, it crossed the median into the northbound lane of travel and began to roll over.
NMSP officials stated the passenger, 16-year-old Xavier Lujan from Portales, was ejected during the crash. He was pronounced dead at the scene of the wreck by the Office of the Medical Investigator…
