ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – The city of Albuquerque is cracking down on e-scooter companies impounding improperly parked e-scooters and charging the companies to reclaim them.
Growing pains, that’s how some of the E-scooter companies have described the city’s crackdown. They are now trying to work with the city to find a better solution regarding improperly parked E-scooters across the metro.
“So, there is no forgiveness on any fines or fees that are occurred by the pickup of the illegally parked e-scooters, and so the vendors will be required to pay those fines,” said Jeremy Keiser Deputy Director for the City of Albuquerque.
