Bernalillo County breaks ground on new ‘energy-efficient’ fire station

BERNALILLO COUNTY, N.M. (KRQE) – Bernalillo County held a groundbreaking ceremony for Fire Station 36 , which is near Osuna and Edith.

The energy-efficient facility will be powered in part by an on-site solar energy system and house New Mexico’s first electric fire truck. The new station will replace the aging structure on nearby Bear Canyon Road.
