EL PASO, Texas ( KTSM ) — The New Mexico Department of Transportation (NMDOT) is notifying travelers of road closures throughout New Mexico due to high winds and limited visibility.
Road closure in Deming to Columbus
NM 11 east and westbound lanes from mile marker 34 to mile marker 37, roughly 7.3 miles from Columbus, are closed.
Road closure in Deming to Las Cruces
I-10 east and westbound lanes from mile marker 81 (Deming West) to mile marker 131 (Las Cruces/Airport) are closed.
Road closure in Columbus to Santa Teresa
NM 9 east and westbound lanes from mile marker 87, Columbus to Santa Teresa, are closed.
Road closure in Lordsburg
Interstate 10 east and westbound lanes at exit 20 are closed.
Difficult driving conditions in Deming
I-10 east and westbound lanes from mile marker 92 (seven miles east of Deming) to mile marker 102 (AKELA) are to use caution when traveling.
In addition, NM 549 east and westbound lanes from mile marker 0 to mile marker 10 are to use caution when traveling.
According to NMDOT, all roads will be monitored and will be updated when roads reopen.
