BOSQUE FARMS, N.M. (KRQE) – Multiple responders are responding to a fast-moving brush fire in Bosque Farms. According to officials, the Rio Grande Fire is burning on the west end of Lillie Dr. and has burned structures. The fire is burning in the bosque. According to Bosque Farms Police Department, three structures were a total loss, two others were damaged, and about eight outbuildings were a loss.
“We will be engaged in this fire all night, all the way through tomorrow. Unfortunately, conditions tomorrow are red flag with high winds so we are going to keep a large amount of resources on the event in anticipation that we will re-engage that fire tomorrow when the winds pick up,” said Valencia County Fire Chief Matt Propp.
