Students worked with staff from Trees New Mexico to plant a variety of plants and fruits. “It’s all focused on giving students an opportunity to be engaged and practices again, hands-on in the soil, getting to build, right behind me here we have our beds. We are going to be planting vegetables and different fruits, we have fruit trees, so our fruit trees are going to be up, and then we’re just going to be doing planting all across the space,” said Leticia Archuleta, Executive Director, Health Leadership High School.
The school said the event is not only making the campus beautiful, but it also launches their new community garden…
