NEW MEXICO (KRQE) – Not only are they delivering mail, they’re fighting hunger too. Letter carriers across New Mexico did more than drop off mail Saturday, they also picked up thousands of pounds of food as part of the Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive.
Residents spent the morning filling bags with non-perishable food and left them by their mailboxes. Volunteers and staff then sorted out the donations at the post office.
