RIO RANCHO, N.M. (KRQE) – Rio Rancho Police Department officers were shocked after stopping an intoxicated driver and realizing it was one of their own. Video showed that when police arrived to find one of their former officers behind the wheel after getting reports that he was involved in domestic violence and may be a danger to himself.

Kristofer Martin, most recently worked for Santa Ana Police Department, but is a former Rio Rancho Police Officer. During the stop, Martin told police he’s sorry and that he isn’t well. “I’m supposed to be the guy who has his s*** together,” said Kristofer Martin, “I’m just in a bad place man.”
